The wonderful Karen came to see us early in 2009 having launched her first very exciting club. We were immediately inspired. Having moved to the UK from the states, Karen was shocked by the lack of community spirit and support for women when wanting to get fit and loose weight. This immediately got her thinking about her friends who were starting families, how were they going to cope.

On looking into it she was right, they were struggling, women were desperate to even strike up a conversation with other women in the park! Karen really wanted mums to still feel like women. So cupcake was born..

A private members club for mums and dads and babies. It really is amazing, every detail has been thought about. There is a gym with a personal trainer that gives you all the safe moves for your stage of pregnancy or post baby. A spa with all pregnant and post baby safe treatments, our favourite is the ‘whats up doc’ a wax so you are all trim for your doctor!! There are activities all day long - Buddha Babies Yoga, Cardio Fit, Buggy Fitness, Abs Attack, Latino Bambino, Baby Salsa - we could go on all afternoon..

Then there is the sleep pod, 20 minutes in which is equivalent to 4 hours – you can imagine the demand. The bathrooms are out of this world, with state of the art showers and dressing tables, for the mums that never get to have the luxury of a shower, lets alone to sit down and cleanse and moisturize and blow dry there hair.. and of course while they are in there baby is in the crèche being looked after. Cup cake has a café with all the food your should be eating and of course a few treats, the chef is out of this world! It really is a haven of support, love, learning, a place where everything has been thought about for you.
